Curious Vine is the wine company of Michael & Amy Scholz, created with the idea to import wine, which they have produced, from an old family vineyard in Australia’s Barossa Valley.

Michael grew up in the small town of Light Pass, South Australia where his ancestors had settled in 1845.  The Scholz family still lives and farms this same property some 160 years later.  Light Pass is located in the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s premiere wine growing regions.  While various forms of mixed farming occurred over this period, viticulture has become the focus with some of the current vines dating back to the 1930’s.

Amy was born and raised in Chicago, IL later moving to California where she pursued training in the Culinary Arts.  This led to her experience in food and wine with wine becoming her interest and focus.

While Michael studied and learned his trade as a winemaker in Australia, he has spent the last 15 years producing wine in both Napa Valley and Sonoma County.  This experience coupled with Amy’s background in food and wine has allowed us the tools to bring a reality to our vision.

With such a unique old property, Michael & Amy were inspired to create a wine that could showcase the quality and potential of the vineyards that have been nurtured for so long.

With this thought in mind, CURIOUS VINE, a wine import company, allows them to bring these wines from Australia to the United States.  With that, we present the wines of “RUSTOM FARM”.  Enjoy!
